Every new client must undertake a 1 hour health and lifestyle assessment. Without this we can't design a custom workout aimed at getting the results YOU are looking for in the shortest time possible. This applies if you plan to only have one session or several. The assessment covers the following:

STRENGTH MARKERS

  • To highlight areas of imbalance or weakness in your current physique
  • To determine potential areas of injury due to incorrectly paired muscles
  • To set focus points for progression and to highlight areas requiring specific work

CARDIOVASCULAR TESTS

  • An assessment of your current fitness levels, both aerobically and anaerobically
  • To determine your recovery rates
  • To establish the most effective fat burning zones and your correct maximum heart rate

PROPRIOCEPTION SKILLS

  • Examination of your bodies ability to control itself within it’s special awareness
  • Discovery of balance and motor skill weaknesses that require improvement or correction
  • To highlight areas contributing to poor posture and movement

BODY COMPOSITION AND BMI

  • Measurements and analysis of your current physical condition
  • Body typing to assist in the correct structure of exercise programmes
  • Realistic goal marker setting for your structured exercise programmes

FLEXIBILITY ASSESSMENT

  • All major muscle groups assessed to highlight imbalances and weaknesses
  • Prevention of muscle strains and tears, not always related to the offending muscles
  • Optimization of your bodies ability to benefit from an exercise programme

HEART RATE, BLOOD PRESSURE & LUNG FUNCTION

  • Confirmation that all is well, where it isn’t, the remedial action we can take
  • Allows us to maximise the correct exercises for the fastest results
  • Highlights areas of exercise we should not participate in, yet!

FULL NUTRITIONAL ANALYSIS

  • To ensure your dietary intake compliments your workouts and goals, not works against them
  • 50% of your training gains will be food related, not exercise related

 

What should I wear?                                                Loose fitting clothing suitable for a good workout!

How long will it last?                                                Usually an hour, sometimes a little longer. Please allow an hour and a half.

How soon afterwards can we start training?    In most instances as soon as 3 days after your body Assessment.

Can I have further Body Assessments?             Yes. You can request a Body Assessment at any time, even if you are not a client.
