James is a well rounded lifelong athlete
and coach having taught Martial Arts and Skiing for many years
at elite levels. James understands personally the discipline
and determination needed for his clients to achieve their
goals. James also understands the importance of moderation
and enjoyment (particularly where food is concerned having
been a head chef in a previous life!!) and due to his extensive
knowledge regarding nutrition, he is able to create diets
and nutritional programs that allow both indulgence as well
as excellent physical results. Having founded Switch Fitness
in 2006 the company has grown exponentially due to James innate
ability to teach others to replicate his own exemplary standards.
James has a talent for maximising peoples inner potential,
he has helped many clients of all ages; ability and physical
condition achieve their goals with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Originally from a martial arts background achieving Shodan
black belt in Jujitsu, Mike coached martial arts for several
years. Realising the importance of physical strength and fitness
Mike began strength and conditioning at 16 and quickly developed
a love for physical enhancement. Wanting to achieve results
quicker, Mike started researching about different nutrition
and training modalities which eventually led to studying for
a diploma in Sport Science in 2006 and then a degree in Sport
and Exercise Sciences at Chester University in 2008. Having
graduated in 2011 Mike became joint Partner in Switch Fitness
Ltd after 3 years of experience applying the knowledge gained
from University. On a personal level Mike enjoys helping people
achieve their potential and seeks to train as many people
as possible who are wanting to better themselves.

Phil has enjoyed a lifelong relationship with sport
and exercise and from an early age has competed in swimming,
football and track & field. Phil understands the commitment
required in achieving all round health and fitness and as
a testament to his own discipline, he enjoys outstanding
levels of strength and conditioning. Having joined Switch
Fitness in 2009 Phil has helped many people of all different
backgrounds to achieve their personal goals. Phil’s
energy and enthusiasm also make him an excellent group trainer;
he is currently leading the new Switch fitness BOOTCAMPS.

Danny

Danny has played for a number of professional football
academies including Stoke City, Port Vale and Manchester
City where he played and trained with top national coaches
and international level players. Since then Danny played
for Leek Town youth for 7 years winning over 25 titles including
county and international level tournaments. Following on
from an outstanding youth football career, Danny then fell
in love with resistance training and all things health and
fitness related. Having completed his Sport Science Degree
at Chester University in 2011 the natural career path was
personal training. Aside from being an exceptional personal
trainer, Danny’s nutritional knowledge, particularly
regarding body composition and protein metabolism is unrivalled
helping Switch to stay one step ahead when it comes to dietary
advice. We are very proud to have Danny as our main writer
and researcher for the company.

Pete
Roberts
Switch Fitness are very fortunate to have
Pete Roberts as their Sports Massage Therapist. Pete is
a fully qualified and insured practitioner with a wealth
of experience treating a wide range of injury and rehabilitation
issues. His list of clients includes professional sportspeople,
international athletes and everyday people who either have
ailments to fix or just want to stay in peak condition.
On top of this Pete is a champion Power Lifter with over
25 titles to his credit. His sport has taken him all over
the world and he currently holds 2 world championship titles.
His technique is firm and progressive. Sports Massage Therapy
is not designed to be a luxurious, relaxing, sleep inducing
experience. It is designed to get results. Pete’s
strength and experience allows him to be one of the most
effective Sports Massage Practitioners in the North West.
He rarely requires the use of additional massage equipment,
his strength alone enabling him to reach the deep muscle
tissues that require work. Fully experienced with both male
and female clients, his bedside manner is impeccable, (although
he can talk a lot). At no point will you be made to feel
uncomfortable and the massage takes place in the privacy
of one of our Beauty Therapy rooms.
All Switch Fitness Personal Trainers are fully insured and
registered with The Register of Exercise Professionals.
